Thanks for the laughs

I’m working on some longer, more in-dept posts for later this week, but in the meantime I just had to write and honor Don Knotts, the man who brought us perhaps the greatest television character of all time. Funny is hard, people. Really, really hard—as any actor or writer will tell you, and this man made it look easy.

I know some people may think Barney Fife is synonymous with slapstick or low-brow humor but they need to go back and watch some old Andy Griffith Show re-runs. That show gets sweeter, more profound, and funnier all the time if you ask me. We need more shows like that and not less.
