My life on the literary D-list

Long live Kathy Griffin. She says what everyone wants to. Only funnier. So that’s why I started watching the fabulous spectacle that is Kathy’s life on the D-list.

But watching tonight I realized oh my gosh! I’m on the D-list! The literary D-list.

For example, on Thursday I went to a store to sign stock at 4:00, then Friday I went back at 6:00 to see if any copies sold in the past 26 hours. I’m betting Janet Evanovich doesn’t do that.

But one copy had sold--whoo hoo!

So from a D-list writer, I'd like to thank my A-list fans for buying books and checking the website and writing emails and telling your friends.

C-list here I come!

Ally

Well then I guess when you check back tok this post you will see one comment! I bought your book yesterday....and was done with it by the time I went to sleep. I love all the Gilmore Girls and Alias references and it was so refreching to read a book about an all girls school thats social life was semi relastic....I attend one. And the fact that Cammie grew up there(for the most part)...not knowing about guys is pretty realistic. I loved it....I love the idea and a movie would be awesome, just dont let disney ruin it. I was in love with the sisterhood too until that movie, anyway, please let your readers know when the next one is coming out....I can't wait.

Thanks, Laurie! I loved ALL your comments, and I completely agree that Monk isn't as good with the new assistant, AND I'm dying to know what's in Kendall's briefcase--it's keeping me up nights.

Also, THANKS SO MUCH for saying that I didn't totally blow the whole boarding school vibe--that's something I worried about. Some people have said that the girls would know more about guys--but hello! Cammie divides her time between a girls' school and a ranch in the middle of nowhere with her grandparents. And Bex is either at school or off with her super spy parents somewhere. And Liz is...well...Liz. I never thought for a second that they'd be comfortable around boys. Not one.

So thanks for commenting (and READING!)

later,
Ally
