Why I love fall...

New TV shows (obviously)

State Fairs

State Fair corn dogs

Sweater sets

Boots

Hay rides/bonfires/and anything you can cook over an open flame with a stick

The color orange

College football (especially football games to which you can wear orange...go pokes!)

Really chilly mornings

Heavy dews

Baby calves with frost on their backs (that one's for you, daddy)

Cornbread

Hot apple cider

Colorful piles of leaves

The start of "new pottery barn catalogue a week" season

Turtleneck sweaters

Oscar-worthy movies

The release of Learning to Play Gin

Clear days with a cool breeze

Popcorn balls

Trick-or-treaters

And being able to smell change in the air.

Ally's mom makes awesome popcorn balls. That was my favorite house to hit at Halloween!

Hey Amber, I just remembered how you used to buy popcorn balls off of other trick-or-treaters. Yes. That's right. There was a popcorn ball black market...

Maybe I should get the recipe from Mom and post it tomorrow...

Oh! Please do Ally. I'd love to have the recipe if they're THAT good.

I love fall too, even though I live in Southern California and we don't really have seasons. I love walking into places like Target and seeing all of the halloween candy and decorations.

Hey it's funny you posted this today...I stepped outside this morning and it just felt like the beginning of fall. And I couldn't stop thinking all day, how much I LOVE fall...for almost all the same reasons.

And getting popcorn balls when trick- or-treating was big where I grew up, too. Although, I think I always gave them away to my brother.

Spring is my favorite season. But Fall is definitely my second favorite.

I look so nice in orange! And curling up in a blanket to watch a fall premiere..what's more fun?

Ally - I picked up I'd tell you I love you... at the store yesterday. It sounds fabulous!! I found you here from Agent Kristen's blog. So, um, can I read YA if I'm 31? Or can I pretend it's for my 5 year old?? LOL! ;)

Fall is Grrreat! I love fall! I love Halloween too, which is in fall and that makes it ten times better. And since the weather is perfect, it is the best season to sit down and read awesome books! Keep working on the sequel, I can't wait!

I'm ready for the cooler weather. Not cold, just cooler.

My favorite fair food is funnel cake. I could seriously kill for a good funnel cake. :)
