Emergency post: things I've learned in LA so far
So far on my trip:
I've learned that if two girls are talking really loudly in the line for the plane they will most likely continue talking loudly ON the plane--no matter how many dirty looks people give them.
I've realized that on three+ hour long flights even window people should become aisle people becuase it's way easier to get up and go to the bathroom.
I've remembered that whenever people ask you "whatcha writing there" and you tell them "I'm an author, I'm working on my new book" that's usually all it takes to make middle-aged men talk for two and a half hours about their poetry.
I've come to really, really, really appreciate my new GPS unit.
And the final thing I've learned on my trip so far...
If you're walking through the LA airport, thinking "maybe I'll see a movie star" you're guaranteed to see a really hot guy and think "he could be a movie star" and then you realize--IT'S PAUL WALKER!!! He IS a movie star!!!!!
And then I was so freaked out I almost got on the wrong rental car shuttle.
So, that's my great LA adventure so far. I'm thinking a lot about LEARNING TO PLAY GIN and feeling a great deal like Julia--just wishing I'd brought a Nina. (To fully get those references, get thee a copy of GIN now!)
Later gators,
Ally

Oh my gosh! Lucky you!!! Sounds like this trip is off to a GREAT start!!!
Wow I'm jealous! I love Paul Walker. Not only is he a talented actor but he's cute too. ;)
OMG PAUL WALKER!
lucky girl...
How exciting! The closest thing to a celebrity I've ever seen at the airport was a pro wrestler years ago. And I don't even remember which one it was now. *g*
Oh!!!! Be still my heart! I absolutely adore paul walker!
I would have been drooling all over him! A few years ago he was on Jay Leno, and I saw he was going to be on there and I got all excited and my mom goes "Who's Paul Walker?" and I said casually "An actor." and Then he came on and she said, "Oh, now I see why you like him!" He is so EFFING HOTT!!!!!!
paul walker is fine! i loved your presentation today. you seem to be a really interesting person. thank you so much for coming. we all appreciate it.
OMG!! very very lucky girl
So...how did it go?!?! I anxiously await an update!!!
Thank you so much for coming to my school today! Your presentation was hilarious, and I'm going out this weekend to get your books. I loved hearing about your different experiences with writing, and have fun during the rest of your stay in L.A. Maybe it'll get sunny tomorrow...
I LOVED that you came to our school yesterday! I want to go out and buy ALL you books now ^^. It sure is much sunnier (if this is even a words) today.
haha i totally agree with you on the people talking really loud!
i had to sit in the MIDDLE of these two sisters talking about their family problems and stuff like that. by the end of the 2 and a half hour flight, you feel like you know them!!!
<33
Thank you so much for coming to my school on the 20th! Your assembly was one of my absolute favorites. It was soo funny and I just couldn't stop laughing. It just makes me want to go out and buy all of your books, which I will do. I hope you enjoyed coming to my school as much as I know we all did. And yes, Paul Walker is indeed very yummy and pretty! Thanks again, I really loved it! :)
