Question for all you budding journalists

Hi guys!

I've got a very quick, very random question for you today.

How many of you are involved in your high school newspaper? And, if so, would there be any interest in doing a big, online interview of one of your favorite YA authors?

(And note that by "favorite YA authors" I mean me.)

what do you think?

Ally

well, I would be in newspaper in grade 9 this year but it's an option and they gave it to the grade 8's this year. Well, i would it would be the most famous thing we would get in the newspapter, usually the interveiw we get are them asking people who are in the play(which i have been in every year so far) how they like the play and what's it about!! I would also think it would be a great book project so if i get a book project next year and I can interview the author i will chose u!!

I am in Journalism this year and I would very much enjoy interviewing you for our paper. I know it would be a hit because a lot of kids at my school have read your book. If you would be willing to let me interview you then email me at spy_babe14@yahoo.com. :)))))

I'm in eighth grade and on my middle school newspaper. Yes I would be interested in interviewing you.

A list. Because I never write lists and it seems an organized way to do things.

1. I've been on staff at my school newspaper for 2 years, and was an intern for Sun Valley Magazine lsat summer. (local resort magazine)

2. Adored all your books, can't wait for cross my heart.

3. Of course I want to interview you! I live in a tiny little town where nothing interesting ever happens, and interviewing a (ZOMG NOW TOTALLY OFFICIAL) bestselling author would be, you know, fabulous.

4. Email! afoolishsomething@yahoo.com

Ooh, I feel so organized now! And I am the queen of messiness.

I'm planning to be in newspaper in high school, but yeah, only going into eighth. :-( I wouldn't mind interviewing you anyways though. I love talking to authors. Finding out how they got published, where they get their inpiration, and so on and so forth. I'm an aspiring novelist, so chatting with authors just makes me so giddy.

...Interview? Well, I think there's a newspaper at the school I'm going to next year, and if not, I'll make one just so I can interview you. If you wouldn't mind, interviewing you would be, like... the awesomest amesome of awesomeville. Like Faith, I live in a small town. Like, the last concert we had was 4 towns over (hour-drive, people.), and it was Flogging Molly. And I didn't even get to go. Plus, my friend and I both want to speak with you, so I could ask her if she would like to collaborate. (But I already know her answer.)

*feels all giddy inside at the thought of speaking with you*
