Preschool Day 1
Today is niece #1's first day of preschool and, let's just say, we're all a little on-edge.
Possibly it's because this is the first sign our little 3-yr-old is growing up...
But more likely it's because both her mother AND her father were kicked out of their respective preschools. That's right, folks. Both my sister and my brother-in-law were preschool dropouts.
She was asked to leave after one day because she not only refused to take a nap but she also insisted on crawling around, liberating the other children by informing them that they didn't have to take naps either!
He was unable to use scissors.
So see...my poor niece doesn't have the best genetic track record in all things preschool related (they both went on to do VERY well in real school and post-school, so all was not lost.)
Still, we're keeping our fingers crossed until 2:30.

ROFL!!! That's hilarious! I'm sure not for your mother at the time, but it's one of the best kid stories I've ever heard. ;)

that's so funny!! my brother had the worst day of school, he just entered junior high and he got a total mix up with his timetable and also his locker had another kids lock on it so he doesn't have a place to put his binders, also the timetable says there are six days, which makes it really confusing since the classes are different each day, man i like that the junior high i go to is more organised, it sounds like your neice will be fine and she will show her parents how a preschool student is suppose to act!
Like your brother-in-law, I also had creative difficulties in school. I was unable to glue. Financial people aren't supposed to be creative (i.e. Enron)!
