Picking sides
I just...like literally two minutes ago...finished ECLIPSE and I have to wonder, would you guys think I was crazy if I kinda, sorta chose Jacob over Edward?
I know--craziness, right? But Jacob is flawed and passionate and Edward is cool perfection. Plus, I'm INCREDIBLY cold natured and I think having a soul mate whose natural body temperature is 100+ degrees might come in handy.
But Edward...very, very yummy.
Still, Jacob...technically still human.
It's waaaaaaay too close to call.
Speaking of too close to call and choosing sides, I have to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has embraced Zach so completely. I have to admit I was more than a little worried about that. I remember having very long pieces of email correspondence with my good friend Jennifer Lynn Barnes after she read an early draft of CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY.
I can't remember exactly, but they went something like this:
JEN: By the way, is it sick and wrong if I'm totally in love with Zach?
ME: You like Zach?!?!? Really? You're not just saying that?
JEN: Totally. I mean, I liked Josh...but I liiiiiike Zach.
ME: But the girls! The girls like Josh. They're probably going to hate any boy who isn't Josh.
JEN: Yeah, but Zach is not a normal boy.
And he's not. And Jen was right. Zach is uber complex and sorta yummy. (And...no, I'm not going to give away anything that will happen in the future books. Gallagher Girls are patient, remember?)
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has written to say that you liked him. I like him. And I'm glad to see I have good taste.
In other news tomorrow kinda, sorta marks my first day as a full-time writer. I have some work commitments later this month, but beginning tomorrow I'm going to be taking all of my accumulated vacation time so...it's official. I'm unemployed and if you guys don't buy books I might starve (no pressure or anything!)

I have a friend who has chosen "Team Jacob". None of us are all that happy about it. =] I mean, I really like Jacob, but what if Bella chose him and then he imprinted on someone else?! I would die.
I chose Team Edward. But that's just me.

I love Edward too much, pale skin is more my thing. Plus he's classy, and doesn't pressure Bella, which is awesome.
And Zach?? I fell in love with him right away! He was so sarcastic and I love how he made Cammie feel, it was so cute. If they make Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy a movie, Alex Pettyfer should definately play him! He was in the Alex Rider movie, which is a spy movie, and he was awesome! So hot!! Google him, if you don't know who I'm talking about... :)
I personally don't like Edward or Jacob very much, but...I'd have to choose Edward.
I liked Josh a lot, but I might like Zach more. Maybe because Cammie can be honest with him. :?
Zach is a much better character then Josh. He was much more interesting, and all his secrets made the book much more intriguing. Please keep him around.

When my friend introduced me to the 1st GG book and I started reading it..... I WAS LIKE: OH MY GOSH. THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVERRRRRR. Turns out, the next day I dragged my mom all the way to Barnes & Nobles (after tennis) and bought the 2nd book. AND I FINISHED IT YESTERDAY. WOOOOOOO.... that was AN INCREADIBLE BOOOOOOK AND I HOPE THE 3RD ONE DOESN'T TAKE THAT LONG TO GET HERE.....
Okay..... so sounds a little over the edge, but... when I woke up this morning, I started CRYING SO HARD!!! A) because there isn't another book to read right after... like the 2nd book I HAD TO READ SO FAST =| and B) because I really want a Zach in my life.... Just like one of your blog entries... IT TOTALLY SUCKS THAT HE'S NOT REAL. AKA: FICTION.
So: KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! REMEBER, YOU ARE WONDERFUL AND SO IS ARE YOUR BOOKS (but make sure to put BOTH Zach and Josh - and DeeDee in it. I love that whole.... romantic suspence!)

I don't think you're crazy for choosing Jacob, but I am totally all for Edward! He's just so smart and funny, and you can always tell he has Bella's best interest at heart. Jacob, on the other hand, has his moments where he doesn't, but I guess that what makes him still sort of human. Either way, I pick Edward, but with Jacob always hanging around!
I just got done reading "cross my heart and hope to spy" and i can't wait for the third onr to come out!!! (write faster!) i don't about everyones else but i'm completally in love w/ zach and i hope to see more of him in the next book!!!
I love Zach!!! and he is a better match for Cammie b/c he knows all about the whole Gallager thing! and they won't need to erase his memory!!!

You're not crazy.Altough I choose Edward! Edward will always be there.My only thing about Jacob is that he can't make himself imprint on Bella. Edward also has Bella's best enterests at heart. Thhats why he left in New Moon. So you're not crazy.

In most books I read I can't stand it when a new guy comes along but I have to say in this case I absolutely loved it. Zach was so awesome!

hahaha.. i loved zach too. he is verrry intriguing. i think i like him because all girls overthink guys, and with zach, hes too mysterious to overthink... so you just keep thinking. lol. i dont know if that makes any sense to anyone. but ya. and i agree with julia.. i was kind of upset at first when zach came into the picture, but the more mysterious he became, the more i wanted to know.

I am obsessed with The Twilight Saga and I am Team Edward all the way. I would have to disagree though because he is flawed. He was born in 1901, he is definitely worldly but in all honesty he has never met anyone quite like Bella. Personally I don't like Jacob he is a little too hasty and not right for her, as a best friend he is top notch. Edward is "perfect" to the naked eye but he has his flaws and that is what humanizes him, as much as he doesn't think so. He is passionate, loyal, divoted, loving, caring, over-protective and a great guy. Plus, I'm partial to the cold and Vampires are quite hot ;).
I know this sounds weird but i really like Zach. Even if he is the ocanial cocky type of guy but Cammie can be herself and not have to hid secrects around. But josh is hot on a normal level. ANd how hot is he (sorry im having sort of a b.c.d boy crazed diorder but in this case Zach crazed disorder). And tho being a spy there are some stuff they are not classyfied to share with each other they could understand each other like that . But if Cammie gives him up Well lets just say I call dibs on him and his fineness glorry (another moment) Wow i wonder how he'd look on brad pits body? My friends though i had a really good reson why i chose Zach him being hot hot SCHORCHING HOTTT and all.

I heart Zac, his almost like me. Except I'm not a spy, which i ttly wished i was. Josh is such a good guy =], I sorta hated it that Zac almsot kissed Cammie and Josh saw, he was all sad.
Josh is so hawt. Cammie should never of broke-up with him. It seems like Zac is hiding something. But Josh was up front with everything, and they did a background check and everything came out clean. Thats a given that they belong together.
Zach is the best! He's a spy and so is Cammie so she can tell him anything! Plus, he's all cocky and mysterious which makes him totally hot! I never liked Josh and thought he was stupid for never suspecting anything, but I LOVE ZACK!!! He's equally as good as Cammie and he challenges her. You have to have him in the next GG book!
Also, Alex Pettyfer is really cute and I have a poster of him hanging in my room, but he wouldn't make a good Zach. He's too short and blonde and looks young.

I practically cried at the end of CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY, it was really cute and I wished my life was exciting like Cammie's. And OMG Zach sounds soooooooo hot and he is definitely my type, I mean Josh was sweet and nice and at the time I thought I liked him too, but I liiike Zach, especially when he sneak up/dip kissed Cammie.SO HOT!:0 And don't forget to KEEP WRITING b/c I just finished reading it yesterday and I miss it already!

Now i've read it exactly 9 times, and i have annotated all my favorite parts...
