Things I really want to blog about...
...but I probably won't get around to it:
--The writers strike has forced me out of my comfort zone--has anyone else noticed this? And now I'm watching a lot of things I never would have watched otherwise.
--Like that vampire show MOONLIGHT. Which is okay. But I'm getting a little distressed about how every show/movie/book that deals with vampires has a slightly different take on the vampire world... like what kills them and how they're made and stuff ... which stresses me out because I can't keep them all straight!!!!
--And speaking of keeping things straight, moving is very stressful. And I haven't even started yet! Do I organize boxes based on function? On breakability? On room? How oh how am I going to keep everything straight?!?!
--And speaking of straight, my hair is feeling especially frizz-filled today. It's very frustrating.
--But not as frustrating as trying to remember how to kill a vampire.
Because, let's face it, that's something a girl really ought to know.

Ally

Oh My Nuggets! I know what you mean! In the Twilight series, if you want to kill a vampire, you have to rip them up and them burn them! But in movies, it's the garlic! It REALLY gets confussing!
i always that it had to do with a stake or something i think the garlic keeps them away
Pack by room. WAY easier, because you're not left carying random things all over the house to the rooms they actually belong in when you unpack. The movers can just set everything down in the room it belongs in and voila! Then you can unpack room-by-room and (if you're anything like me) you aren't as likely to get distracted in the middle of it. If you have breakables, try to still keep them by room. If you have to use smaller boxes to acheive this, do (although not too much.) Try to keep like things together (desk supplies, books, cords/cables, etc. And LABEL, LABEL, LABEL. That way, you have a really good idea of unpacking priority as well. If you are hiring movers, try to get them to put down furniture REALLY close to (if not exactly in) the spot you want it. It's hard to move furniture alone, trust me.
My theory for packing is to do whatever will make UNpacking the easiest and most stress-free. I moved about a year and a half ago and tried to be really meticulous about these things. I took two weeks off before starting my new job (so I could unpack and settle in) and ended up only needing one week. Do yourself as many favors as you can in this process...moving is stressful enough without creating stress yourself. Good Luck and Congrats!!!
The vampire thing gets confusing. I know someone who think she's a vampire. It's scary. As for the moving, I suggest doing it by room.
The vampire this is kind of weird. Oh and the process of moving is no fun. Good luck with the moving and the remembering how to kill a vampire.
I HAVE NEVER MOVED SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. YOUR RIGHT THE VAMPIRE THING IS CONFUSING. I HOPE IT GOES EASIER THAN YOU THINK IT WILL GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i actually watch Moonlight too. I didn't think id like it at first because it is very strange, but once you get to know the characters you really want to know what they're gunna do next.
(kind of like the gallagher girls...) btw, i cant wait until your next book comes out!
hayley
I would say pack by room, but put all of the breakable things in each room in a seperate box. Then label them!!!! That way none of your breakables get broken and the movers can just set each box in the room it belongs in. Otherwise you'll end up running all over your house trying to find stuff.
im pretty sure that with the vampire thing you can kill them by stabbing them with a wooden stake or something... maybe you should save those chopsticks that you get with chinese takeout???
can't wait for gg3!!! more deleted scenes from gg2? or another hint for gg3?
Ya, that vampire thing is confusing. I just listen to one theroy and stick with it. Mine is actually from the Twilight books. That's the easiest one for me to remember.
<3 Renee
Yeah, the vampire thing is kinda confusing...but I like how each author gets to pick their own story. It makes the books/shows really believable that way...
I definitly know what you mean about packing being crazy hectic. I just moved a year ago, and it was a pain. I would definitly suggest following everyone's advice and pack by room, though keep all the breakable for each room together in the same box. Use lots of bubblewrap and LABEL it as breakable (make it very noticeable, otherwise it might be overlooked when things are getting moved)it makes things alot easier. Plus label the boxes of the things that you'll need right away, (like the silverware, or your sheets, cause from my experience it sticks looking through 16 boxes in order to find a fork) good luck with the move Ally!!
I have heard that you can kill a vampire with a stake or drive them off with garlic. You could probably accomplish both by getting a loaf of really sharp garlic bread. That way, if the garlic doesn't work, the stake thing will. Good luck with moving! As for your hair, well, right now everyone here has frizzy hair because its been raining nonstop all day and we need to go outside to get to our classes. So maybe you're the only one in Oklahoma with frizzy hair, but everyone in California does, so don't worry about it.
Wow. Long comment.

Writer's strike is bad. It ate tv.
Hmm...I think staking. with ash. maybe. Not sure. Now, to kill a werewolf you use silver bullets. Not so sure about the vampire, though.
speaking of vampires, is the reason you want to know because it somehow has something to do w/ gg3? lol that would be an incredible twist!!!
idk i have a wild imagination haha
If I were you. I would organize the boxes by ROOMS.
to me ..it probally be easier.
I am of the firm belief that Wikipedia knows everything, soooo.... according to it, you can kill a vampire by either staking the vampire, or decapitating it and burrying the head away from the body.... ;) This is very useful information, and you are right, every girl needs to know how to kill vampires. Just like every girl ought to know how to protect themselves from the upcoming zombie invasion. ;)
Good luck with the packing. I just pack everything where I can make it fit, but I do have one word of advice - Do Not fill whole boxes with books. These boxes will end up VERY HEAVY and could cause serious injury... speaking from personal experience, haha.
well, according to one of my favorite books, you have to tear them to shreds, and them burn them... and of course just have wonderful werewolves on your side named jacob black... hehehe
I agree with skippy! Except for the wonderful werewolf part.
I hate the stupid writers strike! It better not mess with the twilight movie. Or the oscars.
Either I'm very confused, or I missed something when I was reading your blogs, or the site is unreliable(though it usually is reliable) but I saw I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You on a movie site. The movie site www.imdb has that title. If you type it in, it will show that it comes out this year! If you want to know how reliable it is, you can search another title ( I put Horton Hears a Who) to check. I am so surprised!
Hey Ally!
I hate the writers strike too! Especially since I read over on Mugglenet that they can't get to work on the Deathly Hallows film because of it! Haha.
But I would say pack breakable things together so they don't accidentally get broken, but do the rest by room. Good luck with moving, and just by the way, your new house looks really really nice from the pictures you posted the other day!
Ally,
Hey, it's Ashley again. Personally the whole vampire thing is confusing because someone always comes up with a new way of killing them... there is one other thing besides everyone has said. Holy Water, they get burned by it. (like the sun.)
I think that packing should be done by rooms like what one person said. Much easier. I will be moving to a townhouse soon, so iI guess we both will move to a new place.
~Ashley
Ohmygosh! I love the Twilight series!
Not as much as GG, though. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer(I'm a big fan of that too.) she always kills them with stakes which I think is really the best way to do it. And you don't have any gross mess because they just dissolve into dust which you can just vaccum up.
i completely sympathize with you on the hair front. i have THE most unruly hair on the planet. it's naturally curly, and completely fine. which means, it's very light. my friends call it the big poof. no joke. and i can't blow dry. it would be a very bad thing. really. i look like a hippie and mufasa all in one!! so take comfort in the fact that there will always be someone worse off than you!! and proud of it!! but...and this is totally ironic. my hair is actually cooperating with me today!! imagine that? mousse or a straightener. that's what you need!!
moving can be pretty crazy. but just think of how awesome it'll be when you're all moved in!!
Briana
Another teen got, read, and loved CROSS MY HEART! She said this is "one of the best series ever." Direct quote.
I think that the ability to creat the whole world of vampires like how they came to be or how they are killed is part of what attracts writers to them. I know in the Peeps sereies by Scott Westerfeld (a great author, one of my favorites) what we would call vampirism is a paracite that you catch. The whole thing with vampires is you can creat the world. As for the box orgainizing thing i would do the boxes by room within the room usefullness and with in usefullness breakablitiy at least thats what my friends sister did when she moved out it seemed to work for her. She labled her boxes Kitchen 1 Kitchen 2 ect. so you might want to try that. Enjoy packing and just remember ITS ONLY T.V. most of its fiction anyway.
OH and as for the person who put the rely on Wikipedia for everything, to put it bluntly um BAD IDEA. Wikipedia is so unreliable its got alot of fact based stuff yes but almost anyone can add stuff to it so its not really a good idea to base your life on what wikipedia says
Yeah, I know what you mean about that. I used to think the wooden stave made sense, but then I started reading Twilight. All my myths are confused!! LOL! (Twilight is the best representation in my opinion. Then again, it's the ONLY representative I've read so far)
OH, and when I was flipping through a delia's catalogoue, I saw an ad for the gallagher girls- it was a half a page! I freaked out, I was like- OMG, this is awesome! Maybe some of my friends will see it and I won't have to explain the series everytime they ask! Of course, that's fun too. They never know what I'm talking about...
my hairs frizzy today too! lol
and yea, vamps r always diff in evrythn, i dont read or watch a lot of vapm stuff anyways, but wat i hav is all kinda jumbld, lol, and omg, i need the writrs strike to b ovr! writrs strike = NO HEROES, writrs strike ending = happy celia and more hayds drama!!!!! =D
<3 celia
hehe. i liked ur blog, it made me laugh, but i guess it must not have been very laugh worthy for u, so i'm sorry about that. and just for the record, NO vampire will ever be more awesome and fabulous than Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. theres just no compareson. good luck packing. i know that must suck. and i totally get the ur hair frustrations (my hair is a freaking frizzball)
tootles
~ari :o)
I hope you get un-con-fused. CAn you email people? Nevermind that is a dumb question. Love the books. When you talk about the editing. . . are you talking about GG3???
Nike
Wow. Actually, I met a vampire once. I killed him with heat-vision...
Haha, just kidding.
Pack by room--then you just open the "LIVING ROOM" boxes and put the stuff in the new living room--unless, you know, you want to mix things up and start freeeeeesh!!!
GOOD LUCK ALLY,
Alex
By room, def! Otherwise, you get soap in a bedroom, a vase in a closet, or a kitchen pot in the bathroom...
WHAT?!
It could happen...
And I know what you mean about confuzling, I mean, sometimes it's garlic, sometimes it's a wooden stake through the heart, and other times it's to tear it to pieces and burn it, and totally! That's a thing you otta know!
...Ya know, just in case....
Spazz <3 U!!!!11!one1one!11
By the way, it has become my duty to remind you about my eternal suffering untill the book comes out in every post of mine possible!!
...wow, that's a mouthful....
Good luck with unpacking! Try not to brake anything! Like your sanity!
-Spazz from the post above.
I <3 READING ABOUT ALL THE THINGS YOU BLOG ALLY, BUT COULD YOU PLEASE PLEASE POST ANOTHER DELETED SCENE
Hey i love both your first book I'd tell you i love you but ill have to kill you .Im trying to get me hands on the next one Crossmy heart and hope to spy I really love your work.
Two queation:Is there another book that follows?
Are your books going to be made into a movie? If not it should :)
From your greatest fan.
Yeah i agree with that
i would say to pack by rooom. then you can go by categories. like if you have a bunch or pictures in your living room you can put all of theem in a box and so on.
omg...heath ledger died. that is so sad. i love him. like everyone at my school wore black today. he was really hot too. and know they are saying it may have been an accident which amkes it even sadder! and i just finished cring when his character died in the patriot and now i am crying again becasue he really died!.
please, pretty please with sugar on top post more deleted scenes ally. i'll die without them. seriously, i will! or any thing about the books.
i know how you feel about the writers strike. desperate housewives hasnt beeen on for a while and i want to find out if carlos is alright! and lost is finally returning but there wont be many shows cause of the strike. i makes be mad! like i said: more scenes! good luck packing!
i have never moved but i hear that it is easier if you packby room
omg! i just found this add for GG books in Delia's catalogue! I gave it to my friend in hopes that she will read the books. But what it said about the book on the add was totally dumb.
Honestly, I've never moved so I don't really understand the strain it puts on the moviee, but I think I have an idea. I'm a neat freak so if I were to move, I would put everything by room in boxes, and then of course label the box. Take blankets and put the breakables in between them after you wrap them in tissue paper. If you feel the need to be super organized, you can take those big, plain, mailing labels and label everything you wrap. That way you know what it is when you take it out of the box and you know immediately where you want it to go. Hope that helps. ;)
OMG! I just thought of the person that I want to play Rachel. Rachel Leigh Cook! I think she would be perfect!
I LOVE MOONLIGHT!!!!!!!!!! It is a great show. I love the books: twilight series, marked, vampire academy, and blue bloods.
ally this is how you pack up for moving (ive moved alot so listen to me) first you pack by room or holiday(christmas, halloween, bedroom, ect.) the glass stuff goes in its own book stuffed with news paper.
