TIMES times two!
Oh my gosh. My editor called today to chat about GG3 and catch up after the holidays. You know...the usual.
So imagine my surprise when halfway through our conversation she said, oh, by the way, CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY is back on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list at number nine this week!
((Insert mental picture of Ally jumping and screaming and being totally uncool while on the phone with someone who is cool personified.))
Then, my editor said, "And Love You Kill You debuted at #4 on the Paperback list."
And then I passed out cold.
Okay, so I didn't actually pass out cold. But I felt like it.
Two books--TWO BOOKS!--on the New York Times list. I honestly never thought I'd ever have ONE book--much less two at the same time, one of which has been out for a year and a half.
You guys did this--you know that, right? Every time you told a friend (or twenty) that you like the Gallagher Girls you did this.
So thank you!

In other news, I feel pretty guilty being happy right now because someone I love lost someone she loves today.
So I want you guys to make me a promise, okay? Be careful driving. Seriously. Be really, really, really careful. Cars aren't fun. They're dangerous and things can happen so fast--life can change so fast--so take care out there and do your best to make sure those changes are for the better.

thats soo awesum! and ur welcom = ) lol, jkjk, and the whole car thingy, yea, my cuz just lost 1 of her bffs in a car accident, she was in a coma and they had to take her off of life support, and thn 2 ppl in the same school were in critical the same week, im so scared to drive now, eek! lol, drive safely evry1! and again, congrats girly! =D

congratz but i feel sorry for your friend, I've lost only one person and it was to cancer and it was one of the toughest things I've gone through so i know what your friend is going through!!

Oh and I was just telling my friend about it today and I told my cousin about it too and she said she was going to buy it. =)

Know what ya mean about accidents reminding you to be more careful in cars. My sweetie jackknifed his pickup & trailer on the ice last week - wasn't hurt, very lucky, considerable damage to truck & trailer. Scared me to think what could've been if another car had been on that road.

Also, sorry about your friend. I lost my nephiew when he was six days old. ( But I'm not really that old. My brother's just old enough to be a dad. ) I hope she feels better with her friends to help her through it!

That's really sad. My mom's sister died in a crash. She was in the car with a drunk friend. Not wearing seat belts.
I never knew her.
Ah! Congrads Ally! But I'm not suprised that both of the GG books were on the best seller list! I went to Barnes and Noble the other day so that I could buy the first GG book and they were sold out! They had to order more.
Oh ya, and did I mention that Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy was on the exact same table as the third Twilight book right at the entrance of the store?
I've been telling all my friends that they have to read your books, but the problem is that our school library doesn't have any copies avalible right now! So all of my friends have put the books on hold!

Also, i told a LOT of my friends about the book...and a bunch of people saw me reading it like, probably at least once during the like 11 times i read it (so far). i think they noticed becuz i had so many post-it notes on it (to mark fave quotes and such)

Congrats Ally, that is soo awsome. For xmas i bought all my friends GG1 and GG2.(so i kinda helped u there) Also, i just lost my best friends older brother in a car accident and 2 days later his best friend got in a car with a drunk driver and died in a car accident (just when he promised he would never get in a car with a drunk driver). I no how how you feel. CONGRATS on everything, and hope your friend is all right it is hard.

You can't control fate. No matter how much you want to. You had a huge success and the death of a friend' friend today. No matter how much you want to change that, you have to realize that you can't control fate. You didn't force your books to be on the best seller list, you worked for it. And succeeded. You've told people to take it easy, and sometimes accidents happen. You can either put your thoughts with the positive, or with the negative.
You should never feel guilty for trying to bring more happiness into the world (and right now we all need it)
When you're write a happy blog, it makes all us fans smile. When you're not happy, we're not happy.
So it's ALWAYS ok to focus on the happiness when you're around us. :) We all love you!
