A very disreputable mission

Okay, Gallagher Girls, are you ready for a mission?

I mean a really, incredibly important-slash-fun mission?

Because, if you are, I've got one.

Last summer I was given an advance reading copy of a book--not just any book: a funny book with cute boys and hilarious pranks.

A book written so flawlessly that every single sentence made me unable to rest until I read the next sentence...and the next.

A book that is about the differences in boys and girls, rich and poor, perception and reality.

A book that was--simply put--one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life.

But there was some bad news...

THE BOOK WASN'T FOR SALE YET!

But guess what, gang, it is now!

So your mission for this week is simple: Don't walk--run--to a bookstore or library and pick up a copy of THE DISREPUTABLE HISTORY OF FRANKIE LANDAU-BANKS by the amazing E. Lockhart.

And then read it and spend some quality time thinking about what it is to be a young woman. And how being a little disreputable is what it takes to be a Gallagher Girl sometimes.

-Ally

ps...go here to read an excerpt and some reviews. You won't be sorry.

I think I am going to have to look into reading this. Considering you have recommended it, I think I will. (You said The Squad was great, and it was! Is she writing another one?) Anyways, thanks for the suggestion.

I got the books YESTERDAY at BooksAMillion. I was so thrilled they had out it early. Unfortunately, I'm only like page 100, but I wrote a chapter for my fan fic, so it's an even trade. So far though, I'm completely loving it!! I love all of her books, so I'm sure it will be great. I fell in love the Boyfriend List and read all of them from there. I remembering you blogging about having an ARC and being so jealous because I wanted it so bad. I kept waiting for a copy to surface on eBay but it never did. lol. The book itself is really pretty too.

Mission Failed:
1. I got in the car with my mom.
2. We found a relatively nice parking spot.
3. I entered said library.
4. I went to the youngadult section.
5. Went to the "L" section (for Lockhart)
6. I looked at all the books written by her.
7. But there was one that was missing.
I failed! Why do I live by that library?!...wait...there is hope! I will put a hold on the book. All is not lost!

I'm leaving for Barnes and Noble first thing tomorrow morning. Which will probably be at 12-noon. As I get up at like 10:30 am. Promise me you'll read the book "The Squad." One of the reviewers put a quote in there and I was cracking up....btw the quote was "Coach came out nd said "Hello Girls" I had the extreme urge to reply with "Good Morning Charlie."

That isn't the exact quote but accuratley close.

sounds good to read. I'll have to check it out. But I have to say, that your GG books are amazing! I'm mean the part where I can't wait to read the next sentence thing is totally what happens to me when I read them. They're like a movie, where I could read them over and over again! They are the books I think about like 24/7. I can't wait for GG3 and all the others that will come out!!!!!
Thanks for all that you do!!
