Why oh why do I keep doing this? Haven't I learned that swallowing flaming tennis balls makes my throat HURT and burn and swell up and make me feel miserable?

but try lemon tea with honey (no sugar, it scratches your throat more)... maybe we can speed up the recovery?
Oh, and it could also come from talking a lot. i was reading harry potter out loud to my sister, and halfway through book three i lost my voice! as in, couldn't talk! the lemon tea helped, though...

For those who haven't been around as long as others...flaming tennis balls is a flu-ish symptoms, but not quite as bad.
Ally, you should buy a tennis racket...that has a fire extinguisher attachment. ☺

I know from experience how flaming tennis balls feel. My throat was blistered for a month once after swallowing one. They had to hook me up to an IV to get food to me. It was terrible.
