The mission...

Hello Gallagher Girls (and guys),

I'm pleased to report that I am, in fact, back from my top secret mission.

It was a lot of fun, and I had a wonderful weekend in DENVER!

COVERT OPERATIONS REPORT

Operative Ally Carter (hereafter referred to as "the Operative") traveled to Denver, Colorado to engage in a TOP SECRET mission.

My best friend from college, Crazy Beth, has been living in Denver for the past several years and, sadly, I've been too busy to go visit her until now.

The Operative recruited backup for a very important covert operation.

Have I mentioned that my literary agent, Kristin Nelson, also lives in Denver?

And then she recruited MORE backup.

So it seemed to make good sense for me to make the trip out to see Kristin and Beth. And then Beth and I were talking about books that we love and how Stephenie Meyer was going to be coming to Denver...

The Operatives went into a deep cover operation in order to infiltrate a very large (and potentially volatile) crowd.

There are occasionally perks to being an author and one of them is that you can have your agent call Stephenie's publicist (the uber-awesome and totally Gallagher Girlish Elizabeth) and set really TOP SECRET plans into motion...

The Operatives engaged in a clandestine rendezvous with very cool People of Interest.

Writing is such a solitary endeavor that I always enjoy meeting other writers, and obviously Stephenie was no exception. She was, of course, incredibly busy so we only got to speak for a second, but it was fun none-the-less.

Also, it was just AMAZING to see the crowd of screaming and crazy, yet patient and attentive fans.

Beth, Kristin, Sara (Kristin's co-worker) and I all had a great time, and I'm really glad I went.

The Operative tried to sleep on the plane because the vacation is now officially over and she really needs to get back to work!

-Ally

ps...if any of you live in Denver and would like a signed Gallagher Girls book, I stopped by the Tattered Cover and Barnes and Noble (both downtown Denver locations) to sign what they had, so check them out.

So jealous! No authors EVER come to Winnipeg, Manitoba. If they come to Canada at all it is very rare. Honestly, if any author who I mildly liked would even go to grand forks (a 3 hour drive away) I would go see them. See, I'm desperate!

That's awesome.

My sis lives in Colorado, but seeing as today is her 21st b-day I knew she wasn't going to stand around last night to get a book signed for me. *sigh

Well, now you've officially met Stephanie Meyer, even if only for a second. :)

I dont comment much but I usually get too confused and stuff... however... I have two things to say
1. Do you have any friends in Missouri that you could visit so I could totally stalk you (no i wouldn't but still I would like to meet you and maybely get my books signed.. lol)
2. Stephenie Meyer does rock and I am extremely jealous that you got to talk to her (weather it was for a second or a milisecond) and I agree (if that was what you were implying) that her book signings are VERY loud (especially when in an enclosed area)
3. (I know i only said two things but oh well) Have you ever gone on tour?? I just became a fan of yours like 5 or 6 months ago and haven't herd of you going on any book tours. It would be awesome if you did.

From the fan in the "show me state" letting you know that you're loved in the state of Missouri!!

P.S
I just have to ask:
Are you excited about the Twilight movie too??
and:
Is LYKY gonna be a movie???
if so EEK!!! lol

OMG,OMG,OMG!!!! I love Stephenie Meyer's books. Don't get me wrong, I love your's too. Seriously, you two are my FAVORITE writers. Too cool! I can't wait to see Twilight(the movie.) And if LYKY is made into a movie, I think I might die trying to wait for it. I'm not that patient, as you can see.
