The exorcism. In pictures.
It started with me cleaning out most of my kitchen cabinets.

And then the guys had to come and cut out the evil brace thing that served no purpose other than to make me miserable.
This, as you can imagine, required very sharp tools. And dust. Lots and lots of dust.

But then we started seeing some progress...
Like my new pull-out cookie sheet holder and trash can!

And now, of course, I finally have a pantry!
Sure, it's an incredibly shallow pantry, but I have to admit I sort of love it. Nothing ever gets lost in the back of the cabinet!
Plus, there's a place for the Baked Lays to go~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, finally, my favorite feature, pull-out shelves for the one big lower cabinet. Yay!
I literally fit about twice as much stuff in there now that there are two full (pull out) shelves and no evil bar cutting the doorway in half!

So even though we're still not totally finished, I must say that this has probably been worth my time and money.
It's still not the custom kitchen of my dreams...
But it's a start.

(and, yes, those flowers are from the zinnias that I started from seeds a few months ago. I told you zinnias were the one flower I could grow.)

Wow - I have to say I'm kind of jealous of your kitchen Ally, haha. Congrats on the exorcism, and the death of the evil bar.
Nicely done on the kitchen, Ally! Now I want one that looks like that!
Congrats! That's so cool!
Oh, and you have those Quakers things that I love!
Your kitchen looks fantastic. We re-did our kitchen a few years agoincluding the floors. We couldn't walk on the floors for a week and since the kitchen is right in the middle of the house in order to get from one side to the other we had to walk outside. It wouldn't have been bad except I live in Wisconsin and it was the middle of January!
A pull out cookie sheet holder? I didn't know they had those! Those quaker cheese things are soooo good! And I saw the baked lays in that picture! Your kitchen is starting to look like it came out of one of those housekeeping magazines. And your zinnias are very pretty. Have you seen Get Smart yet? If you put Liz in Steve Carrel's role, you practically get the same movie with a different lead!

Congratulations! I like your kitchen. So is the exercisom finished yet?
