I already started on July 23,2008
I went back to school on the 4th.
I started the fall semester today at my college
I went back to day. Ohio Glen Este did.
I started the 18th of August.

In Alaska we started on the 19th
My last "first day" of school is technically Wednesday, but we won't really get started in classes until after Labor Day. Only 8 classes to go until my B.A.!!!

the high schools in my area start the day after labor day. college, for me, starts either the third or fourth week of september. so i have a few more weeks to go! ^_^

Schools in the south tend to run from mid-August to mid-May. Systems that added a fall break now start in early August. Schools in the north usually start in early September and go until to June (as southern schools did when crops were a major scheduling consideration even for kids).

I got to a public school in Connecticut and I'm going back to school to start 8th grade August 28.
We start September 2nd!! But my friends at another school started yesturday (25). And others start the 5th of September.

I live in richmond, Virginia and we go back to school the day after labor day every year so it changes. This year it's september second, but some schools in virginia, especially in the mountains, start earlier because of all the snow.

Ally, most of us started at the end of July to the day after labor day.
September 4th! I start late, kinda. Last year was September 11th (sad, sad day...), but that was because they did an extension on my school (it's huge) and they needed to make sure everything passed before school started. Usually starts sometime between the 4th and the 7th.
