To-do list update
1. Register to vote in new state of residence
--Finished! The forms are in the mail and I'm ready to be heard on election day. Are you?
2. Figure out what you have to do to register to vote
--It turns out all I had to do was visit www.rockthevote.com and print out the voter registration form there and then place it in the mail to my state's office for such things. It couldn't have been any easier. So again I ask all of you (who are over 18) have you registered yet?
3. Worry a lot that registering to vote probably requires a local driver's license
--It didn't. At least it hasn't yet.
4. Get local driver's license
--Done! I just got back from both the drivers' testing station AND the tag agency. But never fear--I finally have a license for the state where I now reside!
5. Walk AT LEAST two times before Tuesday so Laci, your trainer, won't torture you with additional push ups.
--I walked Saturday. And I'll do it again tonight. I swear!
6. Unload dishwasher
--Done. But I think it needs running again.
7. Nap. A lot.
--I must say, this is the area of to-do-ness where I absolutely EXCEL!
8. Read 39 CLUES by Rick Riordan
--I'm almost halfway finished and boy is it good.
9. Try not to be too terribly jealous that Rick Riordan is the probably the best YA writer going right now and you're...well...not
--Not doing so well on this one. However, it just occurred to me that Rick is more of a middle-grade author, and I'm more YA. So that helps. A little.
10. Go see Burn After Reading
--Didn't get it done. Maybe tomorrow?
11. Call George (Clooney) and tell him that he's really good in Burn After Reading (even if he isn't--which he will be).
--Still owe George a call. Drats.
12. Stop checking email every two seconds to see if Editor Jen has written to say that the Heist/Kat book is colossal failure and that she regrets to inform you that Hyperion Books for Children would like to sever your professional relationship.
--Good luck with that.
13. Finish GG3 Title Crossword puzzle by the end of next week: September 26th
--Will do.
14. Post the GG3 Title Crossword on Wednesday, October 1!
--Absolutely.

I can proudly say that i just sent in my voters registration form last tuesday!! I can't wait to vote, it's so important! Good luck with your other tasks, Ally!!!
Congrats on finishing most of your to-do list. You deserve a night out...like, at the movies! Then, you can park sort of far away from the theater, and then walking to and from the car could count as your walking. Kill two birds with one stone! :)
Firstly, KAT will not be a collossal failure. Or, at least, wait until you hear what Jen says first. ;) And I really hope it won't be, because, well, I'm waiting to read it! Good Luck.
Second, is there any chance you can post the crossword on the 26th when you plan to finish it? My really good friend is having a 14th b-day party on Saturday. Last year I got her LYKY for her b-day, w/ some earings (and she loved it, and bought CMH when it came out) and I was really hoping to stick the crossword in with her b-day present. I know she'd get really excited. Could you please help me out?
Thanks <3
Well I have to say I am impressed. Well not really i just never get thing done and you do so...yeah.
DRAT! I TOTALLY WANNA VOTE BUT I'M NOT 18 YET! :( oh well, our science class (YEP! science) is gonna have a mini election.
can't wait for the cross word.
-Elise
Finally!!!! We'll know what the title of gg3 is (if only i was good at crossword puzzles lol!!!)
You have to post the conversation you have with George Clooney. I always like to check up on him, to see if he is doing alright. :]
-Devin
Congrats on finishing most of your to-do list. That's great. This is the first time I have been to your site and...well...really I just hear about you for the first time two days ago. I noticed that your first book is a rosewater nominee and that is when I picked it up to see if it was a good. I have to say I LOVED it, not liked, LOVED! I read it in less than one school day and before I had even left school I had turned the first in to get the second. I can't wait for the third book. Keep up the good work.
P.S. If I could vote, I would.
Congrats Ally! Wewt! Wewt! I love how you write your blog and your books! It is really entertaining!
I can't wait for the crossword! I'm really good at them so I know I'll do good!
I love ya Ally!

I can't wait 4 the GG3 crossword, not only do i love crosswords, i really, really want 2 know the title of GG3!
a crossword? where?! by the way, i'm reading cross my heart and hope to spy for the second time (but by the time i graduate jr. high, it will have been read many more times than that) and am once again completely blown away by it (seriously, they found me three blocks away in a bush).
congrats on getting everything done ally!!!! and im not 18 yet but each class at my school like the juniors freshmen sophomores and seniors that can't vote are having our own election and the 4 deans are going to vote for the winner of each classes election. (btw if any of the words don't make sense, its because I'm typing on my iPhone). and I can't wait for the crossword!!!!
I'm just curious what is the difference between YA books and middle grade books? am I the only one curious about this or does everyone know this and im just REALLY behind the times?
Good luck with the undone things on your to-do list
