Three REALLY BIG things.

Thing the first:

My favorite book of the past year, THE DISREPUTABLE HISTORY OF FRANKIE LANDAU-BANKS is a finalist for the National Book Award!

Whoo hoo!

I totally called it.

So big congratulations to fabulous person, E. Lockhart! Also, big congrats to the other finalists!

Thing the second:

Tonight's the night the contemporary authors take over Night Bites over at the Readergirlz Forums!

That's right! If you want to chat with Maureen Johnson, Justina Chen Headley, or yours truly tonight's your chance.

Just join the Readergirlz Myspace Group and be there at 9:00 Eastern, 8:00 Central, etc. etc TONIGHT, Wednesday, October 15th.

There's really no telling what will happen. Seriously. I'm a little concerned that Maureen and Justina will figure out they're way cooler than me.

It's happened before.

Thing the third:

I am incredibly pleased to tell you all that I am keeping TWO of the pairs of walking/running shoes that I recently ordered because they both actually seem to fit.

I've been walking in both pairs for about a week now and I've been band-aid free that whole time.

It's a very big day.

For those of you who are interested, both of the winning pairs are by Mizuno.

One pair is the Wave Creation 9 and the other is the Wave Inspire 4.

Of course, they both might turn on me tomorrow, but so far so good!

See you tonight at the Readergirlz Forum!

-Ally

Ally- First off i must let you know that I absolutely adore your book. Recently i accidentally dropped my copy of LYKY into my pool so went to my local target to purchase a new copy. I just started/finished it today and noticed that pg 254 is completely missing! I have already thrown away the receipt but am extremely upset that i can no longer find out what happens to Cammie right before she gets abducted by her mom and Mr. Soloman. I am distraught. What do you think I should do??? :( its just so sad...

You were the one who got me to buy/read The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks when you posted about it in an earlier blog. I loved it! Thanks for recommending it! I have a hard time staying with books. I only read them if I really like them. I really liked yours, twilight and The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks! Thanks!

I'm really happy that you're shoes worked out for you. My aunt has the same foot problem so I'll have to tell her about those shoes. :]

Oh and I'm sad because I can't get on the readergirlz night bites with you tonight because my whole family is going out for dinner but I really wish I could. Oh well...maybe another time.

My sister has Disruptable History. She said it was really good though I have yet to read it.
Congrats on finding good shoes! I don't usually have problems with new shoes (I just stick with Converse). I don't even have problems with heels (when I have to wear them). Everyone says I can glide really well in wearing heels. It's a curse. ;)
Still not going to be at the ReaderGirlz thing. But it sounds cool. Will it be recapped on the blog?

Hey, the Wave Inspire 4 is my cross country training shoe! They soooooo totally rock! (as in, my knee doesn't kill me when I wear them, which is good... :) )
And I wish I could have chatted w/ u last night but A) My internet is screwed. Big time. and B) I had a cross country meet about an hour away from school/home and C) homework sucks. Majorly.
So, my question is... will there be a transcript of your chat last night, or is it still classified?

I really enjoyed The Disreputable History, and I am so bummed that I couldn't join you for the chat. Actually, I don't think that they accepted me as a part of their group, but it's okay though, because I had Bible study. Congrats on finding TWO new pairs of shoes! :)

AWWWWW!!! I wish I had a Myspace so I could ask you some questions about your book! (Um, could you possibly talk about this in your next blog thing: Who do you like better for Cammie- Zach or Josh?) In my opinion I like Zach because he's smarter and he reminds me of Rhett Butler from Gone With the Wind! Lol, I don't know if you have read that book or not, but I love it and thats why I love Zach for Cammie!! Pretty please with a cherry on top will you mention who you like better for Cammie in your blogs!!???
#1 Fan of your AWESOME books
